February Schedule
Milongas
A tango dance party at the House of Four Winds.
Second Saturday, Feb. 11 : Our big milonga with lots of out-of-town visitors. Pre-milonga class with Santiago and Amy. Santiago Croce (from Buenos Aries) and Amy Lincoln (originally from Carmel Valley) are known for their strong foundation in technique. Classes are built upon the traditional structure of tango and its fundamental concepts, allowing the student a chance to understand the system of tango, opposed to having to memorize steps. Classes are interlaced with humor, light heartedness and endless Argentine anecdotes, which provide an overall stimulating and dynamic atmosphere. To quote one student, “I prefer Santiago and Amy’s classes to going out to the movies”. Check out their website at http://www.santiagoamy.com. Santiago will also be the DJ for the milonga. Class, 8-9pm $15. Milonga, 9-12pm $12. Milonga and class, $20.
Fourth Sunday, Feb. 26: Low key, laid back, and you get to bed early. House of Four Winds, 6-9 pm, $10.
